Lloyd has extensive, international experience in media, publishing and events, having worked on media projects in South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Mauritius and in South America. Lloyd has:

  • Launched, managed and sold various media businesses and projects, having performed the roles of CEO, publisher and editor.

  • A published author, having contributed thought leadership articles and editorials for magazines, industry handbooks and journals. Articles are typically business or personal insights and opinions within the areas of strategy, sustainability, reporting and marketing.

  • Strong media sales and marketing knowledge and experience, having launched more than 50 publications or events that have utilised an advertising or sponsorship business model. His MBA included a dissertation that was focused on the comparative value propositions of digital and print media for advertisers.

  • Developed various media products, from concept and business model, to project launch and management. A key role has been to negotiate with, and draft contracts for key partners, affiliates or customers.

  • Experience with Consumer, B2B and B2C projects, incorporating various business models.

  • Launched a digital magazine that achieved more than 50,000 subscribers.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of social media, social media systems and applications, and content marketing strategy.

  • Lloyd has a strong interest in research and is considering a PhD research dissertation in the not too distant future.
